An impressive Mashal procession was taken out by the party from Shaheedi Chowk towards main city in the evening, raisin slogans in favour of Congress leadership especially Rahul Gandhi and higjlighting the blame of BJP attack on democracy, constitition and suppressing the voice of opposition from raising people's issues.
Led by Rajni Patil and PCC leadership, the processionist marched carrying Mashals & flags, raising slogans' like -Lok tantar ki hatya band karo etc, they demanded JPC in adani issue, "Jawaw do Jawab do, Hisab hisab do, BJP hisab do. A large number of workers and leaders joined the yatra.
Earlier at Udhampur Rajni Patil questioned PM Modi and entire BJP for it's silence over the Adani issue and asked Prime Minister to answer the questions raised by Rahul Gandhi in the house. She said asking questions in the country , under BJP government, has become a crime.
If you ask uncomfortable and unfavourable questions in the house, you are shouted down, your speech is expunged and your are suspended and thrown out. If you speak outside in public, you are booked and punished. All agencies are misused and pressurised to silence the opposition. Going to people is the only option to protect freedom of speech and right to ask questions to the government, which is most precious right.
JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool wani said that people are being crushed through various means and burdened with huge taxations, price rise and huge unemployment while their representatives are being booked, intimidated, threatend, booked, jailed etc.
The opposition togather represents more population than the vuling govt, as their vote share, put together, is higher than govt but they are not allowed to raise real issues of public concrn. The people should rise against the oppressive and anti democratic measures being adopted to save democracy.
