Srinagar, Apr 3: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday busted a sex scandal in Bagh-e-Mehtab area in Srinagar.
A police party from police station Chanapora cracked a sex scandal. The arrested men were residents of Mehjoor Nagar, Pampore, Karimabad Pulwama and Old Barzulla of Srinagar.
The female sex workers who were detained by the police, identified as the residents of Lal-Bazar, Nishat, Habbakadal and Gulshan-Nagar Srinagar.
Srinagar police in a tweet informed “A prostitution racket in a rented accommodation at Bagh-e-Mehtab busted. Two persons running this were arrested: Irshad Ahmad Bhat of Pampore 2) Mohd Shafi Hajam of Karimabad Pulwama. 4 female sex workers (all locals of Srinagar) & 2 customers detained. FIR registered at Chanpora PS.”
An FIR number 19/ 2023 under section 3, 4, 8, of immoral traffic prevention act has been registered in Police station Chanpora and further investigation has been set into motion, an official said. |
