Early Times Report

Srinagar, Apr 10: Following a controversy over Pandit land in Chatterhama area of Srinagar, the Youth President of a Kashmir based political party has resigned from the post as his colleague sought intervention of the Raj Bhawan.
The said politician, who is also an elected representative of a civic body, in support of some people had said that he was “a bigger gunda.”
But the Pandit community had taken a serious note of the allegedly irresponsible behavior of the leader who had even called a government official as “gunda.”
As the video went viral, another senior leader of the same party, who also holds a prominent post at the District Development Council in Srinagar, came out in support of the Pandit community.
In social media post the leader said: “Kashmiri migrants are welcomed to return to their motherland Kashmir as per their desire & willingness anytime as per their convenience..They are at liberty to sell or rent their own properties to whosoever on their wish & will...Nobody can dictate terms to them nor can any influential or blue eyed person be allowed to bully them & make them shield for their monetary interests.”
The leader added that: “As the district administration is aware how Chattarhama land conflict was created by some unscrupulous goons but the concerned DC @AsadamAijaz has been very supportive in providing relief to the victims & has been diligently performing his duties without budging before the bully. Lt. Governor @manojsinha_ should intervene & put an end to the blue eyed influential goons from fleecing our migrant community,” the leader said.
A few moments later, the leader who holds a prominent position at the civic body in Srinagar resigned as the youth President of the party.
Sources said amid complaints of demand of kickbacks from some quarters the party is divided over the issue.
Despite repeated attempts the said leader wasn’t available for comments.
