District-level orientation program on uploading of thematic GPDP held

DODA, Apr 19: A district-level orientation cum training programme on Uploading of thematic Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for FY 2023-24, organised by Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, was held today at Zila Vikas Bhawan Doda and BDO office Bhaderwah.
The training was organised under the overall supervision of ACD, Phulail Singh, who also attended the program at the twin locations. Besides, as many as 110 field functionaries attended the training programme on day 1 at the designated locations, including the master trainers BDO Bhaderwah Sunil Kumar, BDO Khaleni Sanjat Bhardawaj and Panchayat Secretary Rashid Hussain and Operator Naseer Ahmed.
The orientation programme focused exclusively on People's Plan Campaign- 2023 for uploading of thematic GPDP under Localized Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs) mapped into nine themes by Ministry of Panchayati Raj, including Poverty Free and Enhanced Livelihoods Village, Child-friendly Village, Women-friendly Village, Healthy Village, Self Sufficient Infrastructure Village, Socially Secured Village, Water Sufficient Village, Village with Good Governance and Clean and Green Village.
Speaking to the Participants, the ACD said that the thematic approach to GPDP with focus on LSDGs would ensure convergence of resources and augment community participation at panchayat level in consonance with all the stakeholders and line departments. It is also aimed to achieve saturation on all SDGs by 2030.
Further speaking he instructed all the attended field functionaries to acquaint themselves fully so that all the panchayat level GPDP plans shall be uploaded on the designated portal error free and under time bound manner.
The resource persons/Master trainers from the department gave a detailed presentation on the process, procedure, action plan, activities regarding preparation of thematic GPDP along with demonstration on uploading the approved GPDP on the eGram Swaraj portal.
