Youth dies in mysterious blast at Kishtwar
SSP rules out militancy angle

Kishtwar, Apr 19: In a tragic incident, 18 year old person died while his brother got injured after a mysterious blast took place inside their home of a suspect UBGL grenade which they brought the home from a nearby forest area while collecting the forest produce.
The deceased person has been identified as Shabir Ahmed Naik son of Mohammad Abbas Naik while his injured brother has been identified as Mohammad Yaseen Naik both Residents of village Simbol.
As per the details available with Early Times, initial reports revealed that in the house of one Mohammad Abass Naik in village Simbol of Mughalmaidan Tehsil, suspicious blast occurred in the kitchen. In said blast one person died and one injured . Reportedly both brothers had gone to jungle for collection of Morchella(Guchhi) they found one abandoned rod like rusted object which they brought to home and in the kitchen while heating it blast occurred.
As soon as the incident took place in remote village of the District, senior police officials including SSP Kishtwar rush to the spot to ascertain the facts behind the incident.
SSP Kishtwar while talking to media persons rule out any militancy angle in today’s incident. He said that the explosive material that create blast inside the house was found by the deceased from the forest area and while trying to break it, it blasts resulted into the on spot death of one person while his brother also sitting in the kitchen received serious injuries and was shifted to the hospital. SSP Kishtwar urged the people not to bring any suspicious material to home and instead brought the matter into the notice of police.
“Had they inform the police- they would have disposed off it in a proper way and the incident as well as the death could have been avoided” said SSP Kishtwar.
Police said that the FIR has been registered and further investigation into the matter is going on.
