Akhnoor, Apr 21: Religious program started on Friday on the occasion of Parshuram Jayanti in Parshuram temple of the town, flag hoisting was done by pundits with chanting.
The three-day religious program will be led by Ashok Shastri, president of the Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha.
Giving information about the religious programs by organizing a press conference by the Brahmin Representative Assembly, Chairman Ashok Shastri said that Lord Parshuram Jayanti festival has been started on Friday with flag hoisting, in which Lord Parshuram will be praised every evening with Havan Yagya.
And on April 23, a huge procession will be taken out from Kameshwar Temple, Akhnoor, in which many scholars, social and political people will participate in the procession.
He told that the Shobha Yatra will go round the city and conclude at the Lord Parshu Ram temple, along with this a Bhandara will also be organized
Mangu Ram, Srinivas Sharma, Thodu Ram, Babbu Sharma, Gopal Kesar, Mohan Lal Shiva and others were present on the occasion. |
