| Govt Middle School Khokarpora: Of 25 students only 1 clears 8th board exam | | Residents blame teachers, demand closure of school | |  Kokernag: One out of 25 students passing class-VIII board exams at Govt Middle School Khokarpora Adhal Vailoo in Kokernag has evoked strong resentment from the people.
Talking to Early Times residents said, “The government has employed six teachers for imparting education to 25 students and of them only one has cleared the board exams.”
They said, “The government should close this school as it’s serving no purpose. Children studying there cannot even write their names. We want to ask the teachers what they are taking their salaries for?”
They alleged that teachers come to school only for passing time rather than imparting education to the children. “This school should be closed and our children should be shifted to some other school,” residents said.
PRI member, Mohammad Jameel said, “Either the government should close this school or employ the new staff.”
