NSG commandos search woods of Poonch, two more suspects detained | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 23: A team of National Security Guards (NSG) have been pressed into the woods of Bhataduriyan to carry out the search operation to track the terrorists, who attacked the Army vehicle in which five soldiers attained martyrdom in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Help of drones and sniffer dogs is also being taken in the search operation. However, as per police sources, two more suspects have also been detained as so far 14 people have been taken into custody for questioning. Meanwhile the residents of village Sanjot where the Army vehicle loaded with fruits for Iftar was attacked expressed commitment and did not celebrate the festival of Eid but only prayers were offered. There was no distribution of sweets and gifts. The searches were intensified in Bhatadudiyan forest on Saturday and in view of security, the 20-kilometer road from Bhimber Gali to Jadan Wali Gali was closed for vehicular movement. Northern Command Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi, BSF DG SL Thousen, CRPF IG Mahesh Chandra Laddha and ADGP Mukesh Singh also visited the spot. |
