PRIs scaling new heights
4/25/2023 11:15:54 PM

Panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir are inspiring PRIs across the country to improve delivery of services and public goods.
During the recently held National Panchayati Raj Day Celebrations, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for establishing and strengthening three-tier grassroots democracy in J&K.
PM Modi taking keen interest in empowering the grass root institutions has led to the rapid and inclusive development of the rural and urban areas in the Union Territory.
After the abrogation of Article 370, Panchayats have been empowered to deal with the local issues on their own level. These institutions have been provided enough funds to carry out the works in their areas.
The priority is being given to the underprivileged so that developmental imbalances are removed.
Panchayats are making a significant contribution to nation building and empowering the citizens to meet the challenge of sustainable development.
Collective efforts of a common man and Panchayats are playing an important role in realizing big dreams of villages across Jammu and Kashmir.
During the past three years the government has focused on developing the rural areas as the rural economy is the main pillar of the country’s development.
The Panchayats are playing an important role in economic empowerment of all the citizens, ensuring benefits reach the last man in the queue.
The work done by Panchayats in J&K is being hailed by everyone across the country. The empowerment of Panchayats in the Union Territory has made a common man an equal stakeholder in the development. He is actively taking part in the activities that touch his skin.
The grass root institutions in Jammu and Kashmir are growing stronger with each passing day and the common man has been the biggest beneficiary.
Best performing Panchs and Sarpanchs have been felicitated by the government and rewarded for their hard work. They have emerged as the true representatives of the common people.
After 2019, Panchs and Sarpanchs have acted as a bridge between the people and the administration. They have been at the forefront to get the grievances of the people addressed.
Panchayati Raj Institutions have emerged as the new power centers which are helping the common people in every possible way.
