Early Times Report RS PURA, May 13: Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Suraj Singh Rathore under the supervision of Zonal Education Officer, RS Pura, Uttam Chand Sharma today inaugurated Kindergarten Section at Govt Girls High School, Kaloyein, Govt Middle School, Suchetgarh Zone RS Pura. The ceremony was also actively participated by the respective In-charges of both the schools along with their staff. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Ramesh Khajuria, HM, Govt Girls High School, Kaloyein and Raj Kumar, I/c Govt Middle School, Suchetgarh. Surjeet Singh Chib, Tripta Kattal, Raj Kumar, Subash Chander besides others. Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Suraj Singh Rathore speaking on the occasion said that introduction of Kindergartens/ Pre-primary sections in government schools of the Jammu division is an initiative to strengthen roots of education in state. Model Kindergartens with facilities at par with best available in private sector have been established in government schools of the division. These facilities include, audio-visual aids like LCD, colourful child-friendly furniture, water cooler cum purifiers, indoor-outdoor play material and best teaching-learning material. With the introduction of kindergarten classes in government schools, we expect the number of people seeking pre primary admissions in private schools to go down. Underprivileged people would definitely be benefited by KG sections in government schools," he said.The CEO delivered a message to all Heads of Institutions in the district, encouraging them to organise similar enrolment rallies at their respective institutions and to raise awareness about the various facilities provided to government school students. The Chief Education Officer urged heads of institutions running Kindergarten classes to enhance the appeal of the rooms by adding wall paintings and decorative posters. He also implored the general public to take full advantage of kindergarten classes and other government schemes by enrolling their children, with a minimum age of 3+ years, in government schools. |
