Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) J&K kick-started the Janbhagidari event by taking the NIPUN Bharat Pledge. The aim is to raise awareness and instill a sense of pride among stakeholders about G-20, the National Education Policy (NEP), and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). The NIPUN Pledge was taken by Shri H.R. Pakhroo, Joint Director of SCERT J&K Divisional Office in Jammu, along with the staff, under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director of SCERT J&K. The Director expressed his hope that all stakeholders would work together tirelessly to achieve the goal of NIPUN Bharat, which focuses on acquiring foundation literacy and numeracy. The NIPUN Pledge ceremony was conducted in the Dogri language by Mr. Deepak Sharma, Senior Academic Officer and Divisional Nodal Officer for NIPUN Bharat (Janbhagidari Event). It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with all states and union territories, is organizing Janbhagidari events nationwide to create awareness and foster a sense of pride among stakeholders such as students, teachers, parents, and the community as a whole. The events aim to highlight G-20, the National Education Policy, and FLN. Various activities such as workshops, exhibitions, seminars, and conferences have been planned from June 1st to June 15th, 2023, at different levels to engage people from all walks of life. In Jammu and Kashmir, these Janbhagidari events have commenced across all districts, with a specific focus on achieving the theme of "Ensuring Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)," especially in the context of blended learning. A team comprising the UT Nodal Officer, Divisional Nodal Officers, and District Nodal Officers has been formed for this purpose. The Janbhagidari event will lead up to the 4th Education Working Group (4th EdWG) discussion in Pune, Maharashtra, from June 19th to June 21st, 2023, and culminate with the Education Ministerial meeting on June 22nd, 2023. |
