RAJOURI, June 5: The Municipal Council Rajouri, led by President Mohammad Arif, has launched a groundbreaking initiative to install unique identification plates with QR codes on every house within the municipal limits. This innovative project aims to simplify the identification and location tracking of residential properties. During a press conference, Mohammad Arif highlighted that each residential and commercial building in the jurisdiction of the Municipal Council of Rajouri would be geo-tagged and assigned a special digital QR code door number. Referred to as a "smart address," these QR code-based digital door numbers will be allotted to each property and affixed outside the premises.
This mapping of residential and commercial properties will empower citizens to access a wide range of civic services and facilities. The collaborative efforts of the Central Commercial Industry of India and the Municipal Council Rajouri have facilitated the swift implementation of this project, which includes surveys and the installation of digital QR code plates. The concept of providing digital addresses for homes will revolutionize the delivery and tracking of government-run civic services. The event witnessed the participation of Vice President of MC Rajouri, Bharat Bushan Vaid, council members, social and political figures, students, and senior citizens, who actively engaged in various activities during the event.
