APS empowers teachers with guidance, counseling training

UDHAMPUR, June 8: APS recently organized an enriching In-Service Teachers Training Program on Guidance and Counseling from June 2nd to June 8th, 2023. The aim of the program was to equip the teaching staff with enhanced skills and knowledge in order to effectively guide and support their students.
Under the leadership of Principal Dr. Jyoti Bedyal, the esteemed faculty members of APS Dhar Road conducted insightful sessions on various aspects of Guidance and Counseling. The dedicated teachers actively participated in these sessions, displaying their commitment to professional growth and providing quality education to their students.
Throughout the week-long workshop, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of effective counseling techniques, strategies to address students' emotional and psychological needs, and methods to create a positive classroom environment. The experienced faculty members shared invaluable knowledge and practical insights, enabling the teachers to enhance their counseling skills.
The program culminated on June 8, 2023, with a CBSE Training Program on "Happy Classroom." This session witnessed the participation of 64 teachers from various CBSE schools in the Jammu region. Renowned resource persons, Vinodita Sankhyan, Principal of Shri Ram Ashram Public School Amritsar, and Meneka Gautam Gaur, Principal of APS Tibri Gurdaspur, shared their expertise in their respective fields. They introduced innovative methods to create a joyful and engaging learning environment, ensuring a positive educational experience for students.
Principal Dr. Jyoti Bedyal expressed her gratitude to the resource persons for their valuable contributions and expert guidance throughout the program. She commended the teachers of APS Dhar Road and other CBSE schools for their active participation and commitment to self-improvement, emphasizing the positive impact it would have on their teaching practices and the academic success of their students. Dr. Bedyal also thanked the school management for their unwavering support in faculty development programs.
The APS Dhar Road In-Service Teachers Training Program on Guidance and Counseling and Happy Classroom served as a platform for professional development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. It provided educators with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively nurture and guide the young minds in their care.
