Early Times Report JAMMU, June 8: Rajveer Singh, an 8th-grade student at Humanity Public School (Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana), brought glory to the school by leading the Purmandal zone team to victory. As the team captain, Rajveer played a pivotal role in securing a resounding win in the Under-17 (Boys) Cricket Final against Vijaypur zone at the Inter-Zonal District Level Cricket Tournament in Samba District. The tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, took place at Sports Stadium, Samba. Rajveer Singh displayed outstanding performance, scoring 45 runs and taking 2 wickets in the final match. His remarkable contributions played a crucial part in Purmandal zone's success. The tournament witnessed the participation of five zones from Samba District, with a total of 60 participants from across the district. The event received patronage from Director YSS, Subash Chander Chibber, and was conducted under the guidance of Chander Kanta, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Samba. To honor the winners, a special assembly was organized at the school. Gaurav Charak, the school's Principal, along with Mrs. Anku Charak, the Vice Principal, commended Rajveer's exceptional performance. They also acknowledged the invaluable guidance provided by the Head Coach Mahan Singh and the efforts of other coaches including Shamsher Singh, Surjeet Singh, Rajan Singh, and Meenali Jamwal.
