Early Times Report REASI, June 8: A District Level Bankers' seminar on Agriculture credit linked schemes was held today in Reasi under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Babila Rakwal here in the DC complex conference hall. The visiting officer Joint Director Agriculture inputs S.Arvinder Singh Reen was also present. Chief Agriculture Officer, Harbans Singh explained the procedure and scope of the credit linked schemes like KCC, PMFME, AIF, AHIDF, FIDF, credit guarantee scheme for FPO, etc. The Joint Director Agriculture inputs elaborated in detail the objectives of holistic agriculture development programme in 29 projects and its implementation through Agriculture credit to be given by various Banks. The District Development Commissioner emphasized on simplifying the documentation procedure by the banks for seeking the credit loans to the farmers and save them from making frequent visits. She further urged the Bankers and the allied departments to work in tandem to achieve the goals of HADP launched by JKUT Government with the approval of Government of India. DDM NABARD Adarsh Gupta presented a power point presentation on various agriculture credit linked schemes. The District heads of allied Departments including Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Sericulture, Head KVK, Marketing officer HPM, Kissan Advisory Board member, Cluster Head J&K bank, Representatives of FPOs, PMFBY scheme and progressive farmers also participated in the event. Vote of thanks was presented by Rajesh Verma, District Agriculture Officer. SMS SDL, Agriculture Extension officers, Agriculture Extension Assistants were also present in the programme. |
