| GDC Ramban organizes seminar | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 17: Government Degree College Ramban, in collaboration with the Agricultural Production Department, organized a seminar on 'Daksh Kisan,' a learning management system aimed at developing the skills of potential youth entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture. The seminar took place on 17-06-2023 at 12:30 pm, under the guidance and patronage of Prof. Archana Kaul, the Principal of the college.
The Daksh Kisan seminar, a flagship event, is poised to bring about a revolution in the agricultural landscape by empowering farmers and promoting sustainable practices. With a focus on sustainable agriculture, the seminar delved into innovative farming techniques, technology-driven solutions, and best practices that enhance productivity while preserving the environment. The seminar featured resource persons Dr. Jagdish Bali (Agriculture Extension Officer) from the Agriculture Department and Dr. Rayees Bafande (Veterinary Assistant Surgeon) from the Animal Husbandry Department. They provided detailed information about the courses and schemes available under the Daksh portal of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. Over 80 students actively participated in the seminar, which was coordinated by Prof. Younis Ahmad Rather and Dr. Vinod Kumar. All the faculty members were present during the event, lending their support and expertise to enrich the seminar. |
