| House used as brothel, sealed at Qasim Nagar | | |

Jammu, June 17: Police on Saturday sealed a house used as brothel at Qasim Nagar here.
A few days before police had rescued a minor girl who was pushed into the flesh trade from the seized house.
This morning a team led by Tehsildar Bahu arrived in the area and seized the property. Before seizing the house officials asked the occupants to take their belongings and other expensive items.
SDPO East Zaheer Abbas Jafri told the reporters that before seizing the property notices were served to the occupants and today the house was sealed formally.
He said that six people have been arrested in connection with the case and challan has been presented in the court. “The 15-year old girl has recorded her statement before the Magistrate and action has been taken accordingly.”
Authorities acting tough against the accused have sent a strong message that anyone found involved in illicit trades like sex rackets will be dealt with sternly and their immovable properties could be seized. |
