Environmental consciousness drive concludes | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 17: The maiden One Week Environmental Consciousness Drive at University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu concluded successfully. The campus witnessed the placement of over 200 earthen water pots in various areas such as the academic block, administrative block, and hostels. Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector of Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, emphasized the need for active participation in finding solutions to societal challenges. She urged everyone to develop a deep connection with nature and shift from harming the planet to healing it. Dr. Kilam highlighted the importance of social activities aimed at environmental protection and encouraged individuals to take responsibility for the planet's well-being. Dr. Sourabh Shastri, In-charge Coordinator of UIET, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, expressed gratitude to all the voluntary participants in this social cause. He emphasized the significance of promoting sustainable and equitable development. The drive was coordinated by Dr. Shivani Sharma and. Ritu Sharma. Numerous faculty members and staff, including Dr. Vivek Sharma, Amit Sharma, Dr. Pankaj Khajuria, Dr. Seema Jamwal, and several others, actively contributed to the drive. |
