| GDC Ramgarh holds pledge taking ceremony on Yoga | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 17: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-Prabha of Government Degree College Ramgarh celebrated International Yoga Day 2023 as part of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The week-long activities on yoga included a "Pledge Taking Ceremony on Yoga" held under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the Principal of the College. Prof. Seema Sharma, Head of the Department of Education, expressed enthusiasm for taking the Yoga Day Pledge and promoting the numerous benefits of yoga within the community. They emphasized that yoga is not just a physical exercise but also a powerful tool for mental and emotional well-being, hoping to inspire individuals to adopt yoga for a healthier and more fulfilling life.
Dr. Shamsher Lal, the NSS Program Officer, coordinated the entire program, and the pledge ceremony was conducted by NSS volunteer Ritika Manhas. The pledge was taken by all enrolled students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff. Among the faculty members present at the event were Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Shamsher Lal, and Prof. Risha Kumari. |
