Jammu, June 17: Sahitya Akademi organized a series of programs at Writers Club Jammu, featuring notable events like Kavi Sandhi and Katha Sandhi, which attracted a large audience. Kavi Sandhi involved renowned poets reciting their best selection of poems and sharing their experiences. In the Dogri language, Shri Ashok Angoorana captivated the listeners with his unique style, thoughts, and vocabulary. He presented his new compositions, leaving the audience mesmerized. The subsequent program, Katha Sandhi, showcased eminent story writers sharing their stories and experiences. Shri Girdhari Lal Rahi, an accomplished storyteller, presented two of his recently written stories. Mohan Singh, the convener of the advisory board of Sahitya Akademi New Delhi, introduced both writers and explained the purpose of these programs, emphasizing Sahitya Akademi’s commitment to promoting languages and literature. In his welcome address, Mohan Singh, a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award and the Padma Shree Award, highlighted the numerous programs conducted by Sahitya Akademi for the promotion of languages and literature, including Kavi Sandhi and Katha Sandhi. |
