Sajad Lone expels Basharat Bukhari from PC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 18: Former minister and senior politician Syed Basharat Bukhari was expelled from Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference allegedly for his anti-party activities on Sunday. Syed Bukhari along with two senior leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Peer Mansoor, and Khursheed Aalam had joined the Peoples’ Conference in March 2021. Today Peoples’ Conference expelled Basharat Bukhari from the primary membership of the party. In a Tweet, Peoples’ Conference on its official Twitter handle, said that all units of JKPC Kreeri, a native constituency of Syed Basharat Bukhari, have been dissolved. It said that all these units will be reconstituted after the new constituency head assumes charge. “Syed Basharat Bukhari, constituency head Kreeri is hereby expelled from the party, for indulging in anti-party activities. Also all units of Kreeri stand dissolved and will be reconstituted after the new Constituency head assumes charge,” JKPC tweeted. Introduced in the politics by late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Syed Basharat Bukhari deserted PDP in December 2018 six months after the PDP-BJP coalition regime collapsed. A former MLA from north Kashmir’s Sangrama constituency who held the important portfolios of law and revenue in the BJP-PDP coalition government, Basharat was among those senior leaders who resigned from the PDP in 2018 just after the fall of coalition regime. |
