J&K branch of ICAI celebrates 75th CA day

Jammu, July 1: The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) marked its 75th Foundation Day on July 1, 2023. The event witnessed various activities and enthusiastic participation from Chartered Accountants (CAs) and CA students. Here’s a summary of the celebrations:
The celebrations commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony at the ICAI Bhawan on Canal Road, Jammu.
s part of the festivities, a tree plantation drive was organized to contribute to environmental conservation and sustainability.
The J&K Branch collaborated with the Department of Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology, GMC, Jammu, to conduct a blood donation camp. CAs and CA students actively participated and donated blood generously.
O-Lab Diagnostic Centre, Channi Himmat Jammu, organized a free health checkup camp, providing attendees with an opportunity to monitor their health and well-being.
CA. Sat Sharma, a former Cabinet Minister of the J&K Government, graced the function and extended his greetings on CA Day. He acknowledged the significant role of chartered accountants in nation-building.
Sat Sharma praised the J&K Branch for hosting a successful 75th CA Day celebration. He specifically mentioned activities such as Yoga Day, Walkathon at Manda, Blood Donation, and Health Checkup.
CA. Vikas Purdhani, Chairman of the J&K Branch of ICAI, delivered the inaugural address. He warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of CA Day. CA. Purdhani expressed gratitude towards the members and students for their active involvement throughout the CA Week. He urged them to recommit themselves to the CA profession and its noble ideals.
CA Vineet Kohli (Vice Chairman), CA Sourav Pargal (Secretary), CA Ayush Sawhney (Treasurer), CA Priya Seht, and CA Nakul Saraf (Immediate Past-Chairman), along with numerous Chartered Accountants and CA students, actively participated in the celebrations.
The 75th CA Day celebrations by the J&K Branch of ICAI showcased a spirit of unity and commitment among CAs and students, highlighting their vital role in the development of the nation.
