DC discusses roll-out of IMI 5.0 at DTFI meeting

DODA, July 9: Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan on Sunday chaired the meeting of District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) here in his Office Chamber to discuss the roll-out of Intensive Mission Indradhanush (IMI 5.0) Programme in the district.
At the outset, Dy. CMO gave a detailed power-point presentation on the aims and objectives of IMI 5.0. The meeting was informed that first round of immunization under Mission Indradhanush 5.0 will commence from 7th August and continue till 12th of August 2023 followed by the second round from 11th September to 16th September 2023 and third round from 09th October to 14th October 2023 to cover children aged 0 to 2 years and expecting mothers for immunization.
He informed that the programme aims at identifying and selecting the right beneficiary area wise (dropouts and leftout children) for immunisation so that 100% targeted children are immunised.
While explaining the current immunisation scenario in the district, he said that district has recorded some vulnerable spots for Measles, Rubella which are to be taken up on priority under IMI 5.0 besides covering high risks areas where nomads, labourers engaged in brick kilns and people living in slums will be taken care. The drop-out and left-out children after the head count survey shall be registered on the U-WIN platform. U-WIN is a dedicated platform designed for registration, planning, monitoring, recording, reporting and publishing immunisation programmes.
DC impressed upon the stakeholders to complete the head count survey of all the areas for drop-out and left-out children by 25th of July 2023 by involving ANMs, ASHAs, and other field functionaries. He asked the BMOs to monitor the programme personally, conduct field visits for random checks and take exemplary action against poor performing officials. DC called for village wise ANM and ASHA workers' details with their contact numbers for random check by the DC office.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the stakeholders to work in synergy to ensure coverage of all dropouts under the Mission. He asked the DPO ICDS Doda, and CEO Doda, to share the list of children with the immunisation team of the district for effective coverage of all the left out and drop out children. He further asked the concerned to give wide publicity to the programme by all means of communication and media for better results.
The meeting was attended by ADC Doda Dr. R K Bharti, DPO ICDS Zamir Rishu, CMO Doda Dr Hamid Zargar, CEO Doda Parshotam Kumar Gouria, Dy CMO Doda, DIO Doda, MS Associated Hospital Doda, BMOs and other concerned officials.
