| Akhnoor police arrested 3 drug peddler, recovered heroin | | |

Jammu, July 10: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 07 grams of heroin from two accused in the area under the jurisdiction of PS Akhnoor.
A police team of PS Akhnoor led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr. Zaheer Mushtaq and PSI Manoj Kumar while on naka duty at Pakhiyaan near Galaxy palace Akhnoor rounded up two suspects who were on their vehicle bearing Registration No JK02DC-3613. On search, 07 grams of heroin was recovered from them.
In this regard a case FIR No.193/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29/60 NDPS Act got registered in PS Akhnoor and accused were arrested. The accused arrested were later identified as :-
1. Vikram Singh @Kaka S/o Huser Singh R/o Lehar Sungal, caught with 04 grams of heroin
2. Ansh Langeh @Ansh S/o Lt Davinder Singh R/o Shama Chak Tehsil Marh District Jammu, caught with 03 grams of heroin
Further investigation of the cases is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
