DPAP leaders welcomes Govt decision

Jammu, July 10: R S CHIB, General Secretary and Jugal Kishore Sharma Provincial President Jammu of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party in joint statement have welcomed the decision of the Govt. of providing additional 10 kg of Ration to the priority household in J&K, as such expressed their gratitude to the LG Manoj Sinha, for his timely response to the DPAP peaceful protests on the issue and subsequent action. The leaders said that DPAP, since its formation are raising issues of common people unlike other Political party, who believe in elitism. It is a party formed by common citizens and is aimed to serve the common people and leading from the front, when it comes to public issues. They emphasized upon the fact that no other political party fought like DPAP against the forcible land eviction, demolition drive and unjustified system of CUET Exam and hence it is need of the time as no other political party meet the expectations of the people of J&K. They further said that DPAP is against the Anti-people decisions like, outsourcing of natural resources to outsiders, demolition drive on the occupants who are holding small pieces of lands and have constructed houses/ business establishments for their shelter and lively hood, for last many decades - mostly are victims of militancy. They demanded that Amnesty scheme for Electricity consumers should also include 50% waiving off of principal amount of arrears and same should be made applicable to farmers and commercial establishments. Also DPAP Strongly proposes that the Government should revoke enhanced electric tariff and fix it So that a common man can easily afford and the Electric bills should not be contrary to the Consumption as it is happening now after the installation of smart meters. The DPAP leaders said that our Party is seriously concerned about the unrest and uncertainty. prevailing among the public at large in J&K due to anti-people decisions and will continue their struggle peacefully, against such policies/decisions, DPAP is the only political Party, which is fighting for the genuine issues and demands of the people and the people have been realizing it with their participation in Rallies, meetings and peaceful protests by DPAP.
