Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 13: Embracing the spirit of the Government of India's prominent national initiative "Meri Matti, Mera Desh," along with "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav," "G20," and "Shikshit Bharat," the NSS unit (IMDAD) of GDC Darhal orchestrated a dynamic digital awareness campaign on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day. The campaign, symbolized by the hashtag #MMMDVeeron ko Vandan, strives to foster a sense of celebration and empowerment among Indians through widespread awareness and active participation on social media platforms. As a central component of the campaign, the NSS volunteers from the college engaged in sharing stories of the often-overlooked freedom fighters who played pivotal roles in India's struggle for independence. They also raised awareness about the significance of cyber security, expressing gratitude towards the local law enforcement agencies like CAPF, state and central police. The campaign culminated in the encouragement for people to symbolically hoist the Tricolor as an embodiment of their united commitment to nation-building, resonating with the core ideals of patriotism. Employing various social media channels including Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat, and more, the campaign endeavored to amplify its message far and wide. The event unfolded under the astute guidance of Prof. Mussaraf Hussain Shah, the esteemed Principal of GDC Darhal. During the event, Prof. Shah voiced his pride in the remarkable 76-year journey of India's independence and emphasized the importance of commemorating the often unacknowledged heroes of the freedom struggle, promoting cyber safety, and expressing gratitude to those who wear the uniform. Prof. Shah further stated that events of this nature provide platforms to disseminate important messages and generate mass awareness across every corner of the nation. The campaign's coordination was led by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS Program Officer) and received active involvement from Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Shah (HOD Urdu) as well as NSS Volunteers: Waqar Ahmed, Mahboob Sadeeq, Imraz Ahmed, Sameer Hussain, and Sayra Jabeen. This digital awareness campaign, under the banner of the MMMD initiative, exemplifies GDC Darhal's commitment to fostering a sense of unity, appreciation for the nation's history, and promoting essential values for a safer digital future. |
