Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 13: In a glorious display of national pride and unity in diversity and to commemorate India's remarkable journey of 75 years of Independence, the J&K Legal Services Authority (JKLSA) in association with District Legal Services Authority, Srinagar, organised a monumental 'Tiranga Rally' to pay homage to those who struggled and sacrificed their lives for the future generations. The 'Tiranga Rally' was flagged off by Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh from Srinagar Wing of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and subsequently he lead it which culminated at historical "Ghanta Ghar" at Lal Chowk. The Chief Justice was accompanied by Registrar General, Shahzad Azeem; Principal Secretary, M.K. Sharma; PDJ (Chairman DLSA), Srinagar, Jawad Ahmad and other members of the Registry as well as District Judiciary, Srinagar. During the rally, the Chief Justice while delivering heartfelt remarks, remembered the valour of those who dreamt of freeing India from the colonial rule. He expressed profound pride in the nation's achievements, highlighting the importance of upholding justice and equality. The Chief Justice also reaffirmed the judiciary's dedication in safeguarding the rights of every citizen. This rally boasted a vibrant mosaic of participation from various pillars of the legal community like Judicial officers of district Srinagar, officers and officials of High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, officers and officials of JKLSA, officers of Prosecution department, officials and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of DLSA, Srinagar and Budgam, Bar members of High Court, Srinagar and volunteers of NGO White Globe. |
