| Police arrests suspected drug possessor in Sidhra | | |

JAMMU, Aug 16: A police team from Police Post Sidhra, led by SDPO Nagrota Akash Kohli and assisted by SHO PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh and I/C PP Sidhra PSI Arun Kumar, was on patrolling duty at Tawi Vihar Colony Sidhra when they apprehended a suspected individual. The person was heading from Bajalta towards Sidhra at the time of the arrest. Upon searching him, the police recovered 6.10 grams of heroin from his possession.
In connection with this incident, Case FIR No 331/2023 was registered under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at PS Nagrota. The accused was identified as Waseem Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed, residing near Jamia Masjid Sidhra, Jammu.
The investigation into the case is currently ongoing, as authorities work to gather more information and details related to the incident.
