SAMBA, Aug 16: In a resolute operation orchestrated under the vigilant leadership of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, the Samba Police have successfully nabbed two infamous bovine smugglers, securing the rescue of several bovine animals and impounding the vehicle utilized for their illicit transportation. This achievement comes within the jurisdiction of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli, falling under the purview of Police Station Samba. The detained bovine smugglers have been identified as Teg Ali, son of Qasim Din, hailing from Chak Dhota in Kathua district, and Faroz Din, son of Ashek Asli from Manjla in Udhampur district. A comprehensive case has been registered under FIR No. 195/2023, encompassing sections 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act, at Police Station Samba via Police Post Rakh Amb Talli.
The commendable arrest was executed by a dedicated police team led by PSI Davinder Singh, the Incharge of Police Post Rakh Amb Talli, operating under the keen oversight of SHO Police Station Samba, Rajeshwar Singh, along with DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
SSP Samba Benam Tosh expressed his satisfaction over the recent accomplishments. The intensified focus on combating bovine smuggling resulted in a remarkable tally of eighty-four (84) bovine smugglers being apprehended by Samba Police in the last seven months. This initiative also led to the registration of sixty-six (66) FIRs against these criminals, along with the confiscation of fifty-six (56) vehicles implicated in bovine smuggling. Additionally, a total of six hundred fifty-three (653) bovine animals have been successfully rescued in the Samba district.
These proactive efforts by the Samba Police, orchestrated by SSP Benam Tosh, stand as a testament to their commitment to upholding the law and safeguarding the welfare of innocent animals from illegal activities.
