Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 16: Kavinder Gupta, a prominent leader of the BJP and former Deputy Chief Minister, lauded the effective Kashmir Policy adopted by the BJP Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He attributed this policy to the return of peace and normalcy in the Union Territory.
Addressing a gathering in Gandhi Nagar on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, Kavinder Gupta expressed his appreciation for the positive impact of Prime Minister Modi's policies in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that, similar to other parts of the country, the strategies of PM Narendra Modi have yielded remarkable results in the region. This is evident from the substantial increase in tourist numbers, advancements in trade and industry, and the enthusiastic participation of citizens in Independence Day celebrations at Bakshi Stadium after more than three decades. Kavinder Gupta asserted that these developments signify the regained trust and confidence of the masses in the Modi Government.
Highlighting a noteworthy point, Gupta mentioned that even one of PM Modi's staunch critics, social activist Shehla Rashid, acknowledged the positive changes brought about by the Modi administration in the Valley. She praised the government's proactive role in restoring the region's former glory and reducing human rights violations. Gupta emphasized that such commendation from a critic underscores the impact of the government's efforts.
Kavinder Gupta also emphasized that the BJP Government addressed the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir while also ensuring justice for the people of Ladakh, who had faced alleged discrimination for decades. The formation of the Ladakh Union Territory was a response to the previous discriminatory practices, providing the residents with their rightful due.
In conclusion, Kavinder Gupta noted that the accomplishments of Prime Minister Modi's administration in Jammu and Kashmir cannot be denied, even receiving support from critics who acknowledge the positive changes brought about by the government's initiatives.
