Jammu, Aug 16: The J&K Sports Speed Ball Association bid farewell to their talented team of players as they embarked on their journey to participate in the 11th National Speedball Championship 2023, scheduled from August 18th to 20th in New Delhi. The send-off function took place at the Police Line Railway Station in Jammu, where all players received a warm send-off from the association and GRP Jammu. The event was graced by the Chief Guest A.K Attri IPS, Chief Advisor of J&K Sports Speedball Association, along with GRP officers Smt. Albeena Malik JKPS, SDPO Railways Jammu, and Sh. Naresh Sharma, DySP GRP Lines, who were the Guests of Honour. Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Railways Jammu, directed the GRP Officers to participate in the event. Tarun Uppal, President of the Association, also marked his presence. The team's selection process was meticulously guided by Sunny Nanda, General Secretary JKSSB and Chief Co-ordinator of SPAA India. The coaches leading the team for the national level include Renu Devi, Sahil Janua, Anju Devi, and Amir Koshal, who have been instrumental in honing the players' skills. A.K Attri IPS expressed his confidence in the team's performance, highlighting their consistent progress and achievements. He extended his blessings and best wishes to the players. Ms. Albeena Malik, SDPO Railways Jammu, distributed speedball kits including T-shirts, rackets, and badges to the selected players. The selected players who are all set to represent J&K at the championship are Eklavya Mohan Bargotra, Hari Om Sharma, Natanshveer Singh Jamwal, Utkarsh Dev Singh, Shiv Rudhar Pratap, Shivam Chandan, Shaurya Veer Singh, Koushki Charak, Megha Pathania, Aryana Choudhary, Hitashi Pathania, Aahil Anand, Manvendra Sinh, Sannath Andotra, Lavya Mahajan, Tanshiq Mahajan, Daksh Rasotra, Banshika Rasotra, Sushant Thakur, Kapish Dogra, Ayush Sharma, Shivam Lachiyale, Rehaan, Prafful Kumar, Tanmay Verma, Ishant Manhotra, Divanshu Tandan, Jaspreet Singh, Sayam Gupta, Mohd. Arshad, and Dhruv Choudhary. With the team's dedication and preparation, they are all set to put their best foot forward in the national championship and make their state proud." |
