JAMMU, Aug 26: A six-day training programme aimed at enhancing the skills of the employees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Katra was successfully organized at Government Polytechnic College Jammu. The programme, conducted from August 21 to August 26, 2023, was led by Er. Arun Bangotra, Principal of Government Polytechnic College Jammu. The valedictory day of the training saw the distribution of training certificates to the SMVDSB employees by Er. Arun Bangotra. The event was also attended by Er. Sukhdeep Singh, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Er. Manjeet Singh, Head of Department of Electrical Engineering, Er. Akhil Kumar, Lecturer of Electrical Engineering, and Er. Sandeep Nimbalkar, Incharge of Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT). Throughout the training, the participants received valuable insights from experts in the field. The Head of Electrical Department discussed topics such as the generation, transmission, distribution of electric power, as well as fault analysis and protection. Arun Sharma, Workshop Instructor, provided hands-on training on solar plant technology and wiring techniques. Er. Himanshu Bakshi, Demonstrator, conducted a practical demonstration on repairing electric gadgets. The programme concluded with a visit to the Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT) in Jammu. Er. Sandeep Nimbalkar briefed the participants on the latest technologies available at CIIIT, which aim to upskill and enhance employability in engineering students by providing training on advanced technologies such as E-Vehicles, digital manufacturing, and more.
