JAMMU, Oct 27: Shiv Sena (UBT), Jammu and Kashmir unit, strongly condemned the violation of ceasefire by Pakistan in the Arnia sector of Jammu. The unprovoked firing and mortar attacks in the residential areas have caught the attention of the party, which now demands swift action from the Modi government against Pakistan. Shiv Sena called for an immediate suspension of all political, diplomatic, and trade relations with Pakistan. Speaking to the media at the regional party office, Manish Sahni, President Shiv Sena, J&K, expressed grave concern about Pakistan’s nefarious actions. He stressed that it is high time that terrorism-supporting and weakened Pakistan is completely wiped off the map. He emphasized that Pakistan continues to violate the ceasefire, posing a threat to the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir. In the past few days, Pakistan has twice breached the International Border with cross-border skirmishes. Additionally, on October 17, BSF soldiers were injured in a firing incident by Pakistani Rangers. On the night of October 26, there was another exchange of gunfire in the Arnia and RS Pura border areas, which resulted in injuries to a BSF soldier and four civilians. Mortar shells hit residential areas, causing significant damage to homes. Sahni pointed questions at the central government led by Prime Minister Modi, asking how long Pakistan’s malicious actions will be tolerated and why Pakistan has suddenly escalated ceasefire violations. He also questioned the utility of the bunkers built at great expense, which BJP leaders used to proudly inaugurate after each attack. Among those who were present include Meenakshi Chibber, Vikas Bakshi, Sanjeev Kohli, Raj Singh. |
