| CGPWA, SKK organise swachhta function | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 27: The Central Govt Pensioners' Welfare Association, Jammu ( CGPWA) in collaboration with the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra( SKK) today organised a function at the premises of the School for Hearing Handicapped to create awareness among the students about significance of Cleanliness.
The function was held under ageis of PM Modi's landmark Swachhta Abhiyan 2023, SCDPM 3.0 launched all over the country from 2nd October to 31st October.
Marjorie Wright and Tamiesha Wright from Australia who were in town, also attended the event as special guests. They are philanthropists & look for areas for educational scholarship for deserving meritorious underprivileged students. They were happy to attend the function and know the excellence of Divyang students.
The students , teachers & members of the CGPWA also took out a rally in the area carrying placards on Swachhta. Passerby clapped the students when they passed by them.
At the School, Divyang .students presented their views through sign language, on the swachhta and made a strong plea for making swachhta a peopke's movement in Jammu city.
The students who expressed their views were Fozia Shamash, Rohit Thakur & Anu Sharma of 12th class and Vansh Sharma of 11th class.
The Patron of CGPWA, S S Wazir, former ADG & Sr. Advisor SKK, presented gifts to these speakers.
The President of CGPWA, Kuldeep Khoda, former DGP & CVC appreciated the views of the divyang students on swachhta & said that the youth have a special role to play in making the Swachhta Abhiyan a grand success.
J K Vaid, General Secretary of SKK explained the objective of the program & brief history of SKK.
SS Wazir & Dr Sudarshan Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
Among those present include P P Sharma, Advisor SKK, B K Raina Advisor SKK, B.B. Magotra, O P Sharma & Sunil Sharma, Secretary, Treasurer & EC Member of CGPWA respectively, Dr Shrikant Goswami, K L Sharma & Roshan Bhan Principal of the School. |
