SSP Udhampur reviews law and order in introductory meeting

Udhampur, Oct, 27: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur, Sh Joginder Singh, JKPS, held an introductory meeting at the District Police Lines in Udhampur after assuming charge. During the meeting, he conducted a comprehensive review of the law and order and crime scenario in the district. The meeting was attended by supervisory officers, Station House Officers (SHOs), and In-charge Police Posts (ICPPs) working in the district. Sh Anwar-ul-Haq, JKPS, the Additional Superintendent of Police (AddlSP) Udhampur, delivered a detailed presentation outlining the law and order situation and the state of crime in the district. He also apprised the SSP of the key issues and challenges that are of utmost importance for the Jammu and Kashmir Police. The SSP stressed the importance of diligence and the highest level of integrity among the officers. He urged the officers to actively engage with the public and address their concerns related to the police department. He emphasized the significance of eradicating issues such as drug-related problems, militancy, and upholding the rule of law, as these factors significantly impact society. The meeting also highlighted the need to prioritize addressing the problems faced by the public, ensuring public access to the police department at all times, and upholding the rule of law for a crime-free society. The meeting was attended by Sh Rajeshwar Basotra, Chief Prosecuting Officer (CPO) DPO; Sh Shahid Nahiem, JKPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) DAR DPL Udhampur; Sh Tahir Amin Sheikh, JKPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Chennai; and Sh Vishal Manhas, SDPO Ramanaga.
