District police Reasi pays tributes to police martyrs

REASI, Oct 27: District Police Reasi organized a function at DPL Reasi to pay rich tributes to police martyrs at the Police Martyrs Park. A short movie clip was shown to police and CRPF officers and jawans, highlighting the life events of Sg. Ct. Kamal Kishore, who was posthumously awarded the Shaurya Chakra for his valor and courage. Kamal Kishore, a martyr from Gran Morh area of Reasi, attained martyrdom while fighting terrorists in Srinagar in 2018 after eliminating two deadly terrorists in an encounter.
The short movie emphasized the supreme sacrifice of the martyr in protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Kamal Kishore was born in Gran Morh village of Reasi on April 1, 1988, and received his education from government schools in Reasi. He joined J&K Police in 2009 and was posted in IR 10th BN. Kamal Kishore voluntarily joined the operational group of J&K Police in Cargo Srinagar in 2011 and was promoted to Sg. Ct. for his extraordinary operational performance. He fought bravely in the encounter, killed two terrorists, and attained martyrdom. He was posthumously awarded the Shaurya Chakra, which his father received from the President of India in 2021.
Sg. Ct. Kamal Kishore was known for his dedication, courage, and bravery. He laid down his life in the line of duty, upholding the national flag and contributing to the security of the nation. The event aimed to highlight the sacrifices of martyrs and pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Sh. Amit Gupta JKPS, highlighted the bravery and valor of Sg. Ct. Kamal Kishore and expressed the importance of organizing such events to honor the district's martyrs.
