GDC Paloura organizes Child Rights Awareness, sensitization programme on Constitution Day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 8: An enlightening and sensitizing program was organized by the Department of Education and Music, under the able guidance of Principal GDC Paloura, Dr. Ashu Vashisht, on the theme "Child Rights and its Protection" to commemorate Constitution Day 2023, celebrated as "My Constitution and My Pride." The program was specially designed for the students and staff members of Government Degree College Paloura. The event was well-attended by both the college staff and 54 enthusiastic students, all of whom received comprehensive information about the various categories of Child Rights. The program addressed several crucial issues concerning children's well-being, including Child Marriage, Child Labor, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO). In addition, the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) was thoroughly discussed, shedding light on its significance in ensuring the protection of children's rights. The program continued with a creative touch as participants engaged in Poster Making, reflecting their understanding and support for Child Rights. A general discussion allowed attendees to share their thoughts and insights, creating an interactive and educational atmosphere. The coordinators of this meaningful program were Prof. Kusha and Prof. Chinmei, who played pivotal roles in organizing and facilitating the event. Dr. Deepali concluded the program by delivering a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and highlighting the importance of raising awareness about Child Rights. The "Child Rights and its Protection" program at GDC Paloura exemplified the college's commitment to educating and sensitizing students and staff members about the significance of safeguarding children's rights, as enshrined in the Indian constitution.
