Early Times Report Akhnoor, Dec 11: BJP senior leader and District Development Council member Pandit Suresh Sharma, fulfilling the long pending demand of the people, kick started the black topping work of the Sunail-Sagani road, which is to be built at a cost of Rs 2 crore 87 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, in Maira Mandrain block of Chhamb assembly constituency. This road route will prove to be very beneficial for the people of villages like Sagani, Sunail, Jayanti Jakhari, etc. For the people of these villages, the means of transport will become easier to move. Addressing the gathering, Suresh Sharma said that efforts are on to connect every village and locality with a pucca road. Construction work on many more roads will be started in the coming days. Pandit Suresh Sharma said that the Central Government, under the leadership of the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has initiated many mega projects in Jammu and Kashmir like Express Way, Jammu Poonch National Highway, construction of new bridges etc. due to which roads are also being constructed to connect the villages. The villagers present there thanked Pandit Suresh Sharma and said that development work is being done keeping their demands in mind.
