Early Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 11: The Economic Offences Wing–Crime Branch Jammu has formally charged habitual offender Brighu Nandan Sharma @ Sunny Sharma and beneficiary Ravinder Kumar in a case involving the fabrication of a fake appointment order for a class-IV employee under the sports quota in the Animal Husbandry Department. The preliminary charge-sheet was presented in the Court of law for judicial determination.
The case (FIR No. 30/2022 U/S 420, 465, 468, 471, 120-B IPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu) emerged following a written communication received in the Crime Branch, Jammu, questioning the authenticity of Government order No. 637-GAD of 2016 dated 16.05.2016. The investigation revealed that the said government order did not pertain to the appointment of Ravinder Kumar but, in fact, related to the "on the Job Practical Training of the Junior Scale KAS Probationers of 2015 batch."
The accused, Ravinder Kumar, in connivance with others, managed to create a false and fake appointment order for himself as a Class-IV employee in Animal Husbandry Department District Cadre Jammu. A formal case was registered in the Police Station Economic Offences Wing, Crime Branch, Jammu, triggering an in-depth investigation.
During the course of the investigation, relevant records were seized, statements of witnesses recorded, and scientific, circumstantial, and other material evidence collected. The accused individuals were found to be in violation of sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 120-B IPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu. The preliminary charge-sheet has been produced in the Court of law for further legal proceedings.
Furthermore, it was established during the investigation that the prime accused, Brighu Nandan Sharma, was also involved in previous cases (FIR No. 09/2020 and FIR No. 10/2020) for fabricating fake appointment orders. Charge-sheets for these cases have already been presented in the competent court of law against the prime accused.
