Jammu, Dec 11: Jodhamal's Junior Wing recently celebrated its 19th Annual Day with a spectacular event on the school campus. The theme, "The Quantum Leap," symbolized the transformative journey of education from ancient times, represented by Papyrus, to the modern era with Tablets. The event was graced by Piyush Singla, (IAS) Secretary Revenue, J&K Govt., as the Chief Guest, and Shridhar Patil, (IPS), DIG Traffic, Jammu, as the Guest of Honor. Other esteemed dignitaries included Yasha Mudgal (IAS), Commissioner/Secretary, Cooperative Department, J&K, Bhupinder Kumar (IAS), Secretary to the Government, Health and Medical Education, J&K, and Prithpal Singh (IPS) DIG. The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a warm welcome address by Sarojj, Academic Coordinator of the Junior Wing. Nandan Kuthiala, the honorable trustee, shared the school's vision, emphasizing the creation of a dynamic environment to nurture the holistic development of every student. Principal Girish Kumar presented the annual report, expressing gratitude for the school's consistent ranking and highlighting students' achievements in various fields, including STEM education and sports. Piyush Singla commended Jodhamal Public School for its educational feats and acknowledged the beautiful blend of art forms presented during the celebration. He praised the school's national and international contributions in the field of education. The captivating play, scripted, directed, and produced by Team Jodhamal, traced the evolution of the Indian education system. From Gurukuls to the present day, the play depicted pivotal moments in Indian history, paying homage to influential figures such as Chanakya, Ashoka the Great, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Savitribai Phule, and Shakuntala Devi. The performance seamlessly transitioned through eras, showcasing changes from wooden planks to blackboards and addressing the impact of the pandemic on education. An extraordinary presentation highlighted initiatives, drives, and scholarships aimed at making Jodhamal students responsible and honorable citizens, with over 600 students participating on and off the stage. Main awards were presented to House In-charges, Head Boy/Girl, and Academic and CCA prefects of the Junior Wing. Parents and guests expressed pride as they watched the mesmerizing performances. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Junior School Head Girl Maanya Vikram Randhawa, followed by the national anthem. The 19th Annual Day at Jodhamal's Junior Wing was a resounding success, celebrating not only achievements but also the rich tapestry of education's evolution. |
