| Reasi police tighten noose on bovine smuggling, accused arrested | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Jan 8: Continuing special drive against the bovine smuggler Reasi police foiled bovine smuggling at Dera Baba. During Naka checking at Dera Baba, two vehicles bearing registration no. JK02CS-9920 driven by driver namely Rafaqit Ali S/O Mohd Shafi R/O Chapped Tehsil Dansal & District Jammu alongwith Manzoor Hussain S/O Taj Din R/O Keri Parthal Tehsil Katra District Reasi was intercepted for checking and found 01 bovine animal and JK20B-3706 driven by driver namely Mohd Zabir S/O Abdul Husain R/O Thuroo Tehsil Thuroo District Reasi was intercepted for checking and found 02 bovine animals, which were being transported illegally without DM permission.
In this cognizance taken and two FIR's Registered as Case FIR No. 06/2024 U/S 188/IPC at P/S Reasi and FIR No. 07/2024 U/S 188/IPC at P/S Reasi, vehicles seized and investigation started.
In another incident, Police team of Pouni foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued 02 bovine animals from the clutches of accused person namely Balvinder Kumar S/O Madan Lal R/O Kathar, Akhnoor, District Jammu, who was carrying 02 bovine animals by foot from Jammu District to Rajouri via Pouni.
In this regard, case FIR No. 02/2024 U/S 188/IPC, 11(1)(a) PCA Act got registered at P/S Pouni. Accused arrested and investigation is going on.
Pertinently Reasi Police under the supervision SSP Reasi established zero tolerance towards Bovines Smuggling and is committed to eradicate the menace of Bovine Smuggling from the District. |
