Administrative Secretary Amit Sharma conducts comprehensive review of Ladakh's technological initiatives

LEH, Jan 10: Amit Sharma, the Administrative Secretary of Information Technology in UT Ladakh, spearheaded a series of meetings to assess the progress of key technological projects, including the Ladakh State Data Centre and Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters. The meetings, held at Sharma's official chamber in the Civil Secretariat, Leh, focused on ensuring the seamless development of these initiatives.
The review covered crucial aspects such as the installation of security measures like CCTVs and fire extinguishers, as well as power supply infrastructure including Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Diesel Generator (DG) set. Sharma emphasized the adherence to timelines, recognizing the Ladakh State Data Centre's pivotal role in advancing the digital landscape of the region.
During the sessions, Sharma stressed the importance of maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring that all components meet specified technical requirements. He reaffirmed the Administration's commitment to providing state-of-the-art technological facilities to propel Ladakh's growth and development.
Stanzin Dawa from the Information Technology Department delivered a detailed presentation on the Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters, covering aspects such as land identification, project implementing agency, and project management.
The meetings showcased the collaborative spirit and commitment of the UT Ladakh Information Technology office towards fostering innovation, economic growth, and technological advancements in the region. Sharma commended the team's dedication to the implementation of the Modified Electronics Manufacturing Hub Clusters, positioning Ladakh as a hub for cutting-edge electronics manufacturing.
Amit Sharma highlighted the transformative potential of technology for the local community and the region at large. The meetings concluded with a renewed commitment to working collaboratively towards enhanced data security, accessibility, and efficiency, contributing significantly to Ladakh's technological evolution. The discussions were attended by key officials, including the Executive Engineer (Electricity) CPWD and concerned officers of the Information Technology Department, with others participating virtually.
