| 8.45 grams of heroin recovered by Police Post Narwal | | |

Jammu, Jan 11: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 8.45 grams of heroin from one accused lady in the area under the jurisdiction of PP Narwal.
A police team of PP Narwal led by I/C PP Narwal while on patrolling duty at Rajiv Nagar Chowk Narwal rounded up a suspected lady who was coming from Rajiv Nagar Mohalla towards Rajiv Nagar Chowk. On search, 8.45 grams of heroin was recovered from her possession.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 12/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered in PS Bahu Fort and the accused person got arrested. Accused lady was later identified as :- Poonam W/o Satvir R/o Rajiv Nagar
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
