| Kathua Police nabbed one lady drug peddler | | |

KATHUA, Jan 11: Intensifying its action against drug menace within the District, Kathua Police recovered/seized Approx. 10.80 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics at Kukey Chak area of PS Kathua and one lady drug peddler arrested on spot.
On dated 10.01.2024 an information was recieved from the reliable sources at PS Kathua that one lady namely Darshana Devi W/o Kamal Dev R/o Chak Drab Khan Tehsil & District Kathua is indulged in illegal trade of selling narcotics like contraband substance.Acting swiftly police team led by SHO P/S Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua during naka/ checking in its jurisdictional area at Kukey Chak noticed said lady who was directed to stop for checking purpose. During checking, approx. 10.80 grams of heroin like narcotics was recovered from the possession of said lady namely Darshana Devi W/o Kamal Dev R/o Chack Drab Khan Tehsil & District Kathua. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics i.e. approx. 10.80 grams of Heroin was seized and said lady was arrested by the police party on spot.In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 11/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation was taken up.
Kathua Police again requested people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential. |
