JAMMU, Jan 11: In continuation to the efforts of police to curb the menace of drugs, by continuing its efforts against drug menace, on 11-01-2024, while conducting routine patrolling duty in Rangpur Sadhrey area, under the jurisdiction of Police Station R.S. Pura, Police party headed by Inspr. Naveen Angral, SHO P/S R.S. Pura established a Naka at Rangpur Sidhrey and apprehended a person, who was behaving in a very suspicious manner and was trying to conceal himself on seeing the Police party.
During enquiry, he disclosed his name as (Name Withheld), S/o Som Nath R/o Rangpur Sidhrey Tehsil R.S.Pura District Jammu
During checking, 13 grams of Heroin like substance (Chitta) was recovered from the possession of above-mentioned accused person.
Taking cognizance into the matter, a case FIR No. 14/2024 U/S 8/21/22 of NDPS Act was registered against him and investigation set into, Motion.
The arrest was made, under the supervision of Nikhil Gogna, SDPO, R.S.Pura, and overall guidance of Shri Ramnish Gupta, JKPS, SP Hqrs Jammu
