In a significant development, the Institute of Science and Technology, IIT, recently organized an entrance examination for candidates aspiring to join the government-sponsored AVSAR scheme. The exam held at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Doda, was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh. The event also received guidance from Employment Officer Imtiyaz Ali of the district employment and counseling centre in Doda, as well as District Panchayat Officer Suraj Singh. A total of 111 candidates, comprising 92 males and 19 females, actively participated in the examination. The AVSAR scheme, operating under the mission youth, aims to uplift and enhance the skills of the youth. This entrance exam, orchestrated by IIT Jammu, serves as a crucial selection step for students aspiring to be part of the AVSAR scheme. The initiative underscores a commitment to fostering skill development and providing opportunities for individuals in the region to showcase their talents.
