Early Times Report

Ganderbal, Jan 21: District Development Council (DDC) member from Wakura Ganderbal, Mohammad Ashraf on Sunday slapped Jibran Dar, leader of Aam Admi Party in full public glare here.
A video which went viral on social media reveals that Jibran Dar and Mohammad Ashraf, who were invited as special guests at a sporting event, enter into an argument over some issue.
“Anyone above 18-years can vote,” Jibran is heard telling a few boys.
However, Ashraf, who is a leader of J&K United Movement led by Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, interrupts him saying, “Don’t talk about votes. If you want to talk about anything you can tell them about sports.”
Both enter into an argument, Ashraf is heard telling Dar to leave the venue. But Dar refuses. In a fit of rage Ashraf is seen slapping Jibran Dar hard on his face.
After recollecting himself Dar is seen calling the Station House Officer over the phone and asking him to file a FIR against Ashraf. “He is a NC man. I will get him booked. Will drag Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah to court. People of Kashmir won’t tolerate nonsense,” Dar is seen shouting.
A youth stands with Dar saying, “Sir we stand with you. We had invited you as a guest. This man slapped you. He should be booked.”
Meanwhile, Aam Admi Party late in the evening issued a statement saying that the leader had gone to attend the event in his personal capacity and party has nothing to do with the incident.
