Samba police busts illegal gambling den, apprehends 7 culprits | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Jan 23: In a swift operation, Samba Police apprehended seven individuals involved in illegal gambling activities in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana. Acting on a specific tip-off, the police team, led by SDPO Bari Brahmana, ASP Mukund Tibrewal-IPS, and SHO PS Bari Brahmana, conducted a raid near Birpur Complex, Industrial area Bari Brahmana. The apprehended gamblers were caught red-handed while actively participating in gambling. The police seized a substantial amount of stake money totaling Rs 1,32,090.00 along with playing cards. The successful operation was carried out following credible information about the unlawful gambling activities taking place in the Bari Brahmana area. The identified gamblers are: Devarka Nath s/o Ram Lal r/o Palli Bari Brahmana, Harnam Singh s/o Gandharb Singh r/o Kalu Chak district Jammu, Jinder Pal Singh s/o Shamsher Jang r/o Palli Bari Brahmana, Rajesh Kumar s/o Chand Ram r/o Sonipat (Haryana) A/P Bari Brahmana, Kuldeep Singh s/o Bhadur Chand r/o Bari Brahmana, Daleep Singh s/o Gandharb Singh r/o Bari Brahmana and Mohd. Arshad s/o Nazir Hussain r/o Bari Brahmana. Legal action under section 13 of the Gambling Act has been initiated against the apprehended individuals. Additional SSP Samba, Surinder Choudhary, is overseeing the legal proceedings to ensure swift and appropriate action. |
