Early Times Report KHOUR, Mar 13: As part of the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative, Govt. Degree College Khour organized the live streaming of the foundation stone laying ceremony for three semiconductor facilities by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on March 13th. The event showcased the inauguration of a Semiconductor Fabrication facility at the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR), Gujarat, an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility at Morigaon, Assam, and another OSAT facility at Sanand, Gujarat. During the live event, the Prime Minister addressed the youth nationwide, emphasizing the significance of these facilities in making India self-reliant in semiconductor technology. His vision aims to position India as a global hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technology development, thereby creating job opportunities within the country. Approximately eighty students attended the event, alongside faculty members including Dr. Seema Sudan (HoD Hindi), Prof. Himanshu Kajuria (HoD Chemistry), Dr. Anil Kumar Dogra (HoD Botany), Dr. Chetan Sharma (HoD Physics), Prof. Khalid Sajad Bohra (HoD History), and Dr. Anil Kumar Dogra (HoD Botany). Dr. Chetan Sharma elaborated on how these facilities will generate numerous job opportunities for the youth, extending virtual greetings to the Hon'ble Prime Minister for his commendable initiative." |
