Early Times Report KATHUA, Mar 13: NSS Units at GDC Kathua have kicked off a special seven-day Winter Camp beginning March 13th, 2024, and concluding on March 19th, 2024, under the guidance of Principal Prof. Seema Mir. This flagship initiative aims to cultivate social contribution, personal growth, and leadership skills among participants. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of senior faculty members, including Dr. Sanjay Kurlopia, Dr. Yash Paul, Dr. Ram Singh, Prof. Shivani Kotwal, Dr. Manmohan Singh, Dr. JS Soodan, Prof. Charandeep Handa, and Dr. Jasvinder Singh, among others. Dr. JS Soodan and Dr. Ram Singh, HODs of Physical Education and Education respectively, commended the efforts of NSS volunteers and program officers in organizing this informative camp for the local community, promising abundant opportunities for the masses. Dr. Kulbir Singh delivered the welcome address, followed by a vote of thanks from Dr. Pinkey. The event was facilitated by Vishal and Aliesha, with NSS volunteers presenting various cultural performances. Additionally, a cleanliness drive was conducted on the college premises as part of the Swachh Bharat campaign. This year's camp reflects NSS's commitment to addressing relevant challenges and promoting sustainable development. Volunteers will engage in activities such as the Swachh Bharat mission, environmental conservation projects, women's health and hygiene awareness campaigns, voting campaigns, and digital technology initiatives. These awareness activities will be carried out in the newly adopted village of Logate in Kathua district." |
